Administrator

Duties

By law the Lowndes County Board of Supervisors are required to appoint a county administrator. The administrator is the Chief Executive Officer of the county and is responsible for carrying out and administering the policies, orders, resolutions and regulations adopted by the board.

Some of the duties the administrator is responsible for under law are presenting an annual budget to the supervisors, personnel, maintaining and securing insurance on county property, receiving inquiries and complaints from county citizens, general supervision over refuse collection and keeping the board informed on state and federal laws.
